A 1.6-liter four-cylinder motor with a Full Parallel Hybrid system is standard for the Niro PHEV. The combined output for the PHEV powertrain is 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Charging the hybrid battery requires less than three hours with a Level 2 charger. The PHEV powertrain is matched with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Driver Assistance Features
The Niro PHEV is outfitted with a range of Kia driver assistance software, from the sophisticated Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system to Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control.
