The Kia Seltos has a smooth, responsive powertrain that offers ample power for relaxed commutes and thrilling highway drives. It features a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that makes 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. An intelligent variable transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, while all-wheel drive is available. The Seltos gets a decent 29 mpg on average, with 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The X-Line and SX trims bring more power to the lineup with a 1.6L turbo-four engine that produces 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. This powertrain is rated at 24 mpg around town, 27 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Seating Space and Cargo

Inside, the Seltos has enough room to seat five passengers comfortably. You’ll get 41.4 inches of legroom up front and 38 inches in the back. The LX offers cloth seats, but premium SynTex-trimmed seats are available. With 26.6 cubic feet of cargo volume, the trunk can haul a ton of luggage and gear. If you need to carry more stuff, fold down the 60/40 split rear seats to unlock 62.8 cubic feet of cargo space.

Audio and Connectivity

The base LX comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while all the other trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on both units, making it easy to access your favorite apps, music, and Maps on the go. You’ll also get a couple of USB ports, a six-speaker stereo, and available amenities like a wireless charger, a Bose sound system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display.
